AREA CALCULATOR
If you need help to calculate how much product you’ll need to cover your area, you can use the following calculation as a guide.
Quick reference:
1 m3 of product (bark for example) will cover around 10 m2 (at 10cm depth).
To calculate how many cubic metres (m3) of product you will need to cover an area:
1) Measure the area of the garden to be covered, so you’ll end up with width x length values in square metres (m2) So, an area measuring 8m x 5m = 40 m2.
2) Now consider the depth and multiply your square metre measurement by required depth. 0.05 for 5 cm or 0.1 for 10 cm.
Here’s your calculation –
Area of garden (m2) x 0.1 = volume of gravel required (m3)
Thus: 40 x 0.1 = 4 m3
